Mikko Rikala

Translation, the second part of the exhibition, presents works by Mikko Rikala and José Antonio Suárez Londoño alongside photographs by Francesca Woodman. During his residency at espacio artkunstarte, Mikko had the opportunity to meet José Antonio who had previously done the Madrid residency himself. It was at an exhibition at Bernal Espacio where Rikala would later see a series of drawings that Suárez Londoño had made based on photographs by Francesca Woodman, and which would in turn inspire a new body of work. We have the opportunity to see in this exhibition some of the photographs of Francesca Woodman that inspired Suárez Londoño, as well as some of his drawings that led to the Rikala works on view.
